I live in Washington, D.C. with my mom and dad, but I have friends and family I love all over the country. I use this space to keep in touch with everyone!
I got to smell the stinky flower earlier in the day at the Botanical Garden, so I wanted to show Mom and Dad just how smelly it was this evening. The only problem is that by the time we got there the line was out the door, down the block and around the corner all the way to the Mall. So instead we went to Tortilla Coast for some tacos and salsa.
I couldn't resist sharing Mom's Reese's Peanut Better Ice Cream Sandwich on a hot summer day. I love ice cream. Oh, and no signs of a peanut allergy in case anyone is wondering.
Decided to grab a steak and cheese sandwich at Trusty's with Uncle Robb for dinner. I wish they had high chairs so I could have my own seat at the bar.
I went to a reception this evening that had a great view of D.C. Little did I know this was the same place where Mom and Dad had their wedding reception.
I capped off my weekend in Kansas with a family portrait then headed to Kansas City to meet Mr. Trout. He has known my parents and grandparents for years. Next month he celebrates his 94th birthday. How is he going to blow out all of those candles?
My day started off with a trip to the fireworks stand. Dad is a 'regular' so they gave us a discount, which is good because he spent a small fortune. I also got to finally meet Great Aunt Max before I had to change outfits and put on the cute shirt that Aunt Laura made for me. My day wasn't complete without meeting Great, Great Aunt Stella, playing with Cousin Helen and taking pictures with Aunt Teresa. The only bad part about the day is that I was asleep before the spectacular fireworks show even started. But I am already looking forward to next year.
They have already lowered my crib once, but now it looks like they are going to have to lower it ALL the way down. Good thing they caught me just in the nick of time. Again.
