The Standard

I had some great brisket, sausage and pulled pork for dinner at The Standard. But it pales in comparison to Dad's ribs

Spaghetti O's

Guess what is the only thing better than eating spaghetti? Wearing it!

Push-Ups

I am in the final phases of preparation before I officially know how to crawl. I can roll over, and I get caught under the furniture when I scoot myself backwards. And now I have learned to do push-ups. All I need is just a few more days or maybe weeks, and I should be crawling.

Ice Cream Social

Auntie Brynn helped me eat my first ice cream bar. Mmm mmm good! And messy!

The Wave

At lunchtime I can stay pretty busy just waving my napkin.

A Ride With A View

I like my new ride, but sometimes I wish I had a little more control about what I get to see.

Sun Up, Baby Down

Just because the sun goes down after 8:30 p.m., doesn't mean that I have trouble falling asleep.

Friends With Toys

I made several new friends today, which also meant that I got to play with some really cool new toys that run on batteries. I wonder why I don't have battery-powered toys at my house...?

Behind Bars

Some quick thinking prevented me from having an untimely meeting with the floor, which is why Mom and Dad decided to lower my mattress. I have a feeling this won't be the last time I try to escape.

The Business of Family

Cousin Danielle came to DC for business so we got to have dinner together. I should talk to her boss about getting her down here more often.

First Father's Day

I had a pretty low-key Father's Day, but I capped it off watching some golf and taking a nap on one of my favorite spots.

Backseat Driver

Since I am getting a little heavier I have been searching for a new method of transportation. It looks like this new backpack carrier I got Dad for Father's Day just might do the trick.

Five O'Clock Somehere

Nothing like finishing up the week with a couple of drinks surrounded by those you love.

Passport to Somewhere

With my photos in hand, all I need now is to get my passport application processed. Look out world, here I come!

Bed Buddies

While Mom and Bubbles clean up my breakfast mess, Mickey is in charge.

Clean Up on Aisle 3

I still haven't mastered going forward so I am still running myself under the furniture. Only this time it looks like I left a little present for someone to clean up.

Blinds to Go

Now that I am little bigger, I like to grab the blinds while I am on the changing table. And coincidentally enough the word "no" is starting to be used more and more in our house.

Birthday Girl

It was a quick trip, but I am glad we got to help GrandVal celebrate her birthday.

Birthday Dinner

We got the whole family together to help GrandVal celebrate her 70th birthday. Do you know how hard it is to get 14 people to stand still for one second to take a photo? Even I couldn't stop squirming, which is why Dad walked me around the yard to wear me out before bed.

We Are Family

In addition to spending some time with Grandpa George and GrandVal, I finally got to meet Aunt Susan and Auntie Chris. It was also nice to catch up with Aunt Jamey. We go way back

Lost in Translation

I have a lot to say these days. A lot.

Rhododendron

I learned that azaleas and rhododendron all come from the same family. I am slightly impartial, but I think GrandVal's rhodies are much prettier than azaleas.

Easy Rider

It is with great sadness that I had to head up to New Jersey for my Great Uncle Dennis' funeral. I never got to meet him but I am lucky they let me try out his bike. I just wish he could have taken me for a ride.

Making Music

The couch is also a great place to practice my drumming skills.

Spoon Full of Sugar

If a spoon full of sugar helps the medicine go down, then I need a five-pound bag. I just wish these darn teeth would hurry up and get here.
